PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bonding a compound onto a magnetic bead stably and efficiently. SOLUTION: In this method, after bringing the compound into contact with the magnetic bead having a photoreactive compound bonded onto the surface, the magnetic bead is extended on a support together with the compound, and the magnetic bead is irradiated with light, and covalent boding is formed between the photoreactive compound and the compound, to thereby produce the magnetic bead to which the compound is bonded.
