PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ease of operation upon housing a measuring instrument and holding a test lead. SOLUTION: A holder for the measuring instrument includes a main part 2 having an insertion hole 14 which is formed by a first through-hole 14a formed in a bottom wall 11 at a corner 52a of a housing 51 for housing the measuring instrument and a second through-hole 14b formed in a sidewall 12, and through which a cable of a test lead connected to the measuring instrument can be inserted; and a winding part 3 which is installed on the outer surface 11b of the bottom wall 11 with one end 3a being close to the through-hole 14, and around which the cable can be wound. The winding part 3 includes a first winding part 21 and a second winding part 22 divided by a notch 3e formed from the one end 3a side of a side 3c toward the other end 3b side of a side 3d, is configured so that the cable can be disposed within the notch 3e obliquely across both ends 3c and 3d, and is provided with a guide groove 15 between the edge of the second through-hole 14b of the outer surface 12b of the sidewall 12 and the notch 3e.
