PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural member for sliding and a method for manufacturing the structural member for sliding, for maintaining an uneven face even when the face is worn out. SOLUTION: The structural member for sliding and the method for manufacturing the structural member for sliding are charcterized in that a multilayer film made by alternately laminating films of different types of material is formed on irregular unevenness formed on the face of a base material.
