PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom and an intercom system which are improved in usability. SOLUTION: A control portion 1 receives an operation input in response to information display when a contact position detected by a touch panel 10 coincides with at least a display region of the information display in an image 5a of a crystal display 5. That is, when a user (resident) who has mistakenly recognized the information display as an operation button image touches the operation region, the operation input in response to the information display, for example, the operation input for starting a call is received by the control portion 1, and the control portion 1 as a control means carries out the same processing as in the case where the operation input for starting the call is received by operation of an operation button 18 (operation switch 11), namely the processing for starting the call. Accordingly, the usability is improved in comparison with that in the case where the operation input for starting the call is received by only the operation button 18 (operation switch 11).
