PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge detecting device for detecting surge currents of a plurality of lines by itself, and also for protecting surge currents with protectors incorporated. SOLUTION: The surge detecting device includes a plurality of input terminals L connected to a plurality of grounding lines, respectively, a plurality of alarm fuses 10, a plurality of output terminals Ka, Kb for surge detection, and a plurality of protectors 20 housed in one case. If, as an example, lightning surge voltage is impressed on the input terminal L1, the lightning surge current first flows toward a fuse 10-1 side. With this, a fuse part 11 melts down, and at the same time, a switch part 12 turns to an ON-state and that information is output from the output terminals K1a, K1b.
