<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly reflect merit at the encoding side onto decoding processing, and decode moving image encoded signals to generate a moving image, for the encoded moving image signals, which, drastically reduces prediction errors and improves the encoding efficiency with error averaging at the encoding side. <P>SOLUTION: A motion compensation and image composition section 303 applies motion compensation prediction processing to up-sampled reference image signals supplied from filters 307-309, using one motion vector supplied from an entropy decoder 302, and generates three motion compensation predicted image signals. The motion compensation and image composition portion 303 supplies a motion compensation predicted image signal obtained by selection or composition to an adder 305 as a predicted image signal. The adder 305 adds the predicted image signal and a prediction error signal decoded from an inverse quantization and inverse orthogonal transform section 304 and outputs a decoded image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
