PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device, securing the driving force for driving a lens and achieving miniaturization. SOLUTION: A driving mechanism for driving a mover holding the lens and moving in the direction of an optical axis includes: a driving magnet formed substantially like a column and disposed on the outer peripheral side of the mover; and a driving coil 18 wound substantially like a polygonal prism and disposed with the inner peripheral surface thereof opposite to the outer peripheral surface of the driving magnet through a predetermined gap. The driving magnet is magnetized to generate magnetic flux passing through the driving coil 18 at a position opposite to the driving coil 18. The mover includes a coil fixing member 8 to which the driving coil 18 is fixed. One flat surface 18b of the flat surfaces 18a, 18b constituting the driving coil 18 is a fixed part fixed to the coil fixing member 8. In the coil fixing member 8, a plane-like fixing surface 8a to which the fixed part 18b is fixed is formed, and the fixing surface 8a and the fixed surface 18b are substantially parallel to each other.
