PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device recording a flow amount of a few droplets per unit time. SOLUTION: The invention provides a low-flow rate metering device including a first chamber 12 having an inlet 14, and an outlet 16 in fluid communication with a second chamber 17, the first chamber 12 containing an element creating a laminar flow and the outlet of the first chamber being provided with a droplet generator leading to the second chamber and sized to release a series of droplets, each of the droplets forming and breaking away by its own weight from liquid in the droplet generator orifice; an overflow conduit 21 extending between an upper area of the first chamber and a lower area of the second chamber for equalizing gas pressure between the two chambers; an electronic means 28 positioned in the second chamber below the droplet generator for counting the passage of each droplet exiting therefrom; and an information processing unit 30 connected to the electronic means for receiving and recording information selected from the group consisting of total flow, start time, flow per unit time, electrical conductivity of liquid, elapsed time and combinations thereof.
