PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for dementia patients, which is effectively used in aromatherapy and suppresses delirium combined with dementia and/or BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms Of Dementia). SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for dementia patients includes an awakening essential oil such as tea tree essential oil, and is applied to dementia patients in daytime. Preferably the therapeutic agent for dementia patients is sprayed in air and introduced into the bodies of dementia patients through breathing, mucous membrane and percutaneous absorption. The therapeutic agent for dementia patients is used together with an efficacy modulator utilized at night.
