PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-line stitch bookbinding machine markedly reducible in device cost required for cheesecloth bookbinding in comparison with a conventional device while reducing an extra cost load and a space load of a user not performing bookbinding of sticking a cheesecloth. SOLUTION: The cheesecloth 16 delivered by a fixed length from a reel 41 of a cheesecloth feeder 15 mountable to the upper part of a cover feeder 4 is carried into a position of rollers 22a, 22b of the cover feeder 4 and carried to a cover carrying and adjusting section 5 synchronously with the transfer of a book body 8 by a book body clamper 9. The rear end of the cheesecloth 16 carried-in held by a cover carry-in roller 30b and a pressure roller 31b is pushed by a carrier claw 24 of a carrier chain 23b. The cheesecloth 16 is thereby carried toward a cover sticking roller 32 along cheesecloth carrier guides 44a, 44b, and the cheesecloth 16 is stuck to the back of the book body 8 held by the book body clamper 9 by the cover sticking roller 32.
