PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming system for dimming illumination of a living room according to use of the living room. SOLUTION: The dimming system includes an illuminator provided in the living room, a utilization schedule data storage means for storing utilization schedule data of the living room including use information of the living room, a standard illuminance storage means by which standard illuminance values are related for each use of the living room for storage, a control means for identifying use of the living room based on the utilization schedule data, identifying the standard illuminance values related to the identified use by referring to the standard illuminance storage means, and outputting the identified standard illuminance values as illuminance values to be dimmed, and a dimming controller for dimming the illuminator, based on the illuminance values output from the control means.
