PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, by which the presence or absence of Streptococcus group B in a test sample can more quickly, simply and highly sensitively be confirmed than by conventional methods, and to provide a material for performing the method. SOLUTION: The production of a set of primers for LAMP, capable of amplifying the specific region of a CAMP factor gene characteristic to Streptococcus group B has been succeeded. The primer set could have been used to highly sensitively and specifically amplify the region by LAMP method, consequently having more quickly, simply and highly sensitively detected the Streptococcus group B than by the conventional methods.
