<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there are no brain wave estimation methods that can be used even when the number of waveforms is unknown or is equal to or more than three. <P>SOLUTION: A brain wave processor is provided which comprises a brain wave information acquisition section for acquiring one or more pieces of brain wave information, a delay time estimation section for acquiring a delay time estimated from the one or more pieces of brain wave information using the present number of waveforms, a waveform estimation section for acquiring one or more waveforms estimated using the delay time, a present waveform number evaluation section for acquiring distribution of residuals with respect to brain waves of one or more channels using the delay time and the one or more waveforms and evaluating the probability of the present number of waveforms using the distribution, and an output section which increments the present number of waveforms to acquire a new present waveform number and repeats the processes at the delay time estimation section, the waveform estimation section and the present waveform number evaluation section when the present waveform number is evaluated to be doubtful or outputs the delay time and the waveforms or the like when the present number of waveforms is evaluated to be probable.
