<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator security system which connects a card reader to an elevator control panel, dispenses with a table for the elevator control panel for specifying a control panel from a reader number and promptly reflects information from card control to the control panel. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator security system 1000a includes an elevator control panel 7 and a card reader 3 corresponding to the elevator control panel 7. A reader side security communication unit 33 sends a card ID read by an identification information reading unit 33 to a building security system control unit 12. The building security system control unit 12 specifies a usable floor number with reference to a table 12-1 from the card ID, and sends it back to the card reader 3 as use floor number. A reader side communication interface 31 sends the use floor number to a control panel side communication interface 71 that is communicably connected.
