<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin composition capable of reducing light loss caused by a material and further to provide a photosensitive resin composition for an optical waveguide capable of reducing the light loss. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition contains: a cyclic olefin-based resin; a catalyst; an acid generating agent; a first monomer which can be cationic polymerized; and a second monomer different from the first monomer. The photosensitive resin composition for forming the optical waveguide uses the photosensitive resin composition as the photosensitive resin composition for forming the optical waveguide.
