PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that two wedge type light guide plates of a conventional stereoscopic display apparatus have complicated structure and increase manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic display apparatus includes: stacked light guide plates 1a and 1b; two light sources 2a and 2b disposed on two incident faces Sinaand Sinbof the light guides 1a and 1b; single-sided triangular prism sheet 3 disposed on the exit face Sout1side of the light guide 1; a transparent liquid crystal display panel 4 disposed on the exit face Sout3of the single-sided triangular prism sheet 3; a synchronous driving circuit 5 for causing the transparent liquid crystal display panel 4 to display a parallax image by synchronizing the two light sources 2a and 2b. Each of the light guide plates 1a and 1b has a triangular shape prism sequence disposed among a plurality of flat mirror finishing units. The triangular shape prism sequence of the light guide plate 1a faces the flat mirror finishing unit of the light guide plate 1b.
