METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGISTERING A SMARTCARD TERMINAL WITH A BROADCAST SERVER

PURPOSE: A method and a system for registering a smartcard terminal with a broadcast server are provided to reduce the time taken for an additional registration procedure or use of a resources in the registration of a smart card terminal. CONSTITUTION: A smart card terminal(105) transmits a registration request to an IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) server(125) through a network(110). The IMS server authenticates the smart card terminal. The IMS server confirms a broadcasting service subscription of the smart card terminal, and an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(115) maintains a subscription profile of the smart card terminal. A key generator(120) is generated by an SMK(Session Management Key). A broadcasting server(140) verifies a Ks-NAF(Network Application Function) from the IMS server.
