PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of tinning an electrically conductive part by which the concentration of lead in thinning is suppressed to a low value even if plating voltage is increased. SOLUTION: In the method of tinning the electrically conductive part 3 by electroplating, two cathodes are prepared, the electrically conductive part 3 to be tinned is connected to one cathode, a metal conductor 9 for a dummy is connected to the other cathode, and applied voltage (V2) to the other cathode is made higher than the applied voltage (V1) to the one cathode. Further, the current made to flow through the metal conductor 9 for a dummy may be made lower than that made to flow through the electrically conductive part 3.
