PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine tool suppressing the manufacturing cost with a simple structure, and reducing an air filter maintenance frequency through suppression of clogging of an air filter. SOLUTION: Engine cutter is equipped with: a housing 18 accommodating an engine 16 to drive a rotary blade and provided behind the rotary blade; an air cleaner chamber provided in the housing 18 behind the engine 16; and a pre-air cleaner chamber 38 which is provided in the housing 18 in the upstream of the air cleaner chamber and configured so that an air influx port 42 is formed in the inner side wall 56 while an air exhaust port 44 to discharge the air to the air cleaner chamber is formed in a rear bulkhead 54, and has a partitioning wall 58 extending from the rear bulkhead 54 above the air exhaust port 44 downward beyond its bottom is provided between the air influx port 42 and the air exhaust port 44; and a dust collecting chamber 46 installed below the pre-air cleaner chamber 38 in such a fashion as to be freely opened and closed.
