PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor solving problems of sheet attack and delamination. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor includes the steps of: producing a green sheet by applying and drying a ceramic slurry composition containing ceramic powder, a polyvinylacetal resin (A) and an organic solvent; and applying a conductive paste and a ceramic paste for filling level differences on the green sheet, wherein the conductive paste contains conductive powder, a polyvinylacetal resin (B) and an organic solvent (E), and the ceramic paste contains ceramic powder, a polyvinylacetal resin (C) and an organic solvent (F). The amount of hydroxyl groups in the polyvinylacetal resin (A) is 28 mol% or more, and the amount of hydroxyl groups in each of the polyvinylacetal resins (B) and (C) is 24 mol% or less. The amounts of hydroxyl groups in the polyvinylacetal resins (B) and (C) satisfy a relationship of expression (1):¾b-c¾≥1.5, wherein b and c are the amounts (mol%) of hydroxyl groups in the polyvinylacetal resins (B) and (C), respectively.
