FRICTION MATERIAL FOR BRAKE PAD AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A friction material for a brake pad and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to vertically form a plurality of fiber thread member formed with an aramid fiber or carbon fiber within the friction material to contact vertically with a friction surface, thereby improving the friction strength and exchange period. CONSTITUTION: A frication material for a brake pad includes a base layer(10), a fiber thread member(20), and filler(40). The fiber thread member is stood upright on upper surface of the base layer. The upper side of the fiber thread member is contacted with the friction surface. The filler is filled between the fiber thread member to make the upper side of the fiber thread member to be exposed. The fiber thread member is formed with a aramid fiber or carbon fiber. In between the fiber thread member, a reinforced thread member is connect-formed for reinforcing the unity force of the fiber thread member.
