PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source lighting device and a lighting fixture capable of offering a user intrinsic functions without giving him discomfort by notifying him of lifetime of the device and keeping on carrying out normal lighting operations afterwards. SOLUTION: The light source lighting device 10 and the lighting fixture 1 are provided with a lighting circuit 11 supplying power to a light source 2 to light the light source 2, a lighting circuit lifetime judgment part 19 judging that the lighting circuit 11 reaches an end of life, and a light source power control means 18 for changing supply power to the light source 2 into a different level from a normal lighting state when the lighting circuit lifetime judgment part 19 judges that the lighting circuit 11 reaches the end of life.
