PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner superior in transfer efficiency, even in a high-speed full-color image forming method, and capable of image output with no image defect and good reproducibility in transfer, and a developer, a toner-containing container, a process cartridge and an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by inducing a reaction through the intervention of a metal alkoxide (C) in a dispersion containing, in an organic solvent (S), toner base particles (A) containing a binder resin containing an active hydrogen group-containing resin and a colorant and having active hydrogen groups on surfaces and particles (B) having a smaller volume average particle size than the particles (A) and capable of bonding to the metal alkoxide (C), thereby the particles (B) are fixed on surfaces of the particles (A). The developer, the toner-containing container and the process cartridge 800 are configured using the toner, and image formation is performed by a full-color image forming method.
