摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a rotary electric machine in a smaller space. SOLUTION: One suction opening 31 and one discharge opening 32 are formed on a frame 30 of a rotary electric machine respectively. A cooling mechanism 15 in the frame 30 is equipped with a circulation fan 12, and includes a first air communication system 51 and a second air communication system 52. In the first air communication system 51, air taken in through the suction opening 31 comes down toward a rotating shaft 10 and flows near one bearing. Then it flows into a radial gap 24 to advance along axial direction, and is discharged through the discharge opening 32 after passing through a radial grove. In the second air communication system 52, air taken in through the suction opening 31 is split on the way to the rotating shaft 10 to advance in the axial direction outside a stator 20. Then, it flows toward the rotating shaft 10, and flows near the other bearing.
