PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk apparatus which can record data to be higher in quality without increasing manufacturing costs and without reducing image quality or sound quality. SOLUTION: The optical disk apparatus (DVD recorder 1) to record data on an optical disk (DVD141) on which a wobble is formed includes: a wobble signal detection circuit 16 having a band pass filter (BPF) through which a signal obtained from reflected light from the DVD141 passes, and configured to detect a wobble signal based on the signal passed through the BPF; and a register 183 for storing an adjustment value to adjust the BPF as a register value. The register value is changed 1LSB at a time, the BPF is adjusted based on the register value, and the amplitude of the signal passed through the BPF is obtained, the amplitude corresponding to each of the register values. A register value when the obtained amplitude is largest is specified. The BPF is adjusted based on a value obtained by adding 1LSB to the specified register value when data is recorded.
