PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety confirmation device that prevents a false report to increase accuracy of safety confirmation. SOLUTION: The safety confirmation device detects an operation signal output from a remote controller for operating another apparatus. The safety confirmation device decides at least that a resident is safe when the operation signal is detected. Furthermore, the safety confirmation device measures the time from when it is decided that the resident is safe, and resets the measurement time each time safety of the resident is determined. The safety confirmation device gives prewarning when the measurement time exceeds a predetermined first time, and gives a warning when the measurement time exceeds a predetermined second time (the second time is longer than the first time).
