PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile meter for performing direction of enhancing the sense of anticipation of the driving by a driver in response to the request of the driver. SOLUTION: The automobile meter displaying information on an automobile on a display screen 83 of a liquid crystal display 8 displays a ring 101 of a tachometer 121 on the display screen 83 when ignition is turned on in a lights-out state of the display screen 83, and blinks and displays a shift position indicator 102. Next, when a shift paddle is operated, the automobile meter displays a speedometer 103, and displays the indicator 104 of the tachometer 121 so that it may get gradually longer, and then displays a plurality of numerals 105a to 107a and scales 105b to 107b of the tachometer 121 in order from the minimum value to the maximum value, and displays the rest gauges when an engine is started.
