PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular substance containing a compound expressed by formula (1), causing less dusting and handled easily. SOLUTION: A method for producing the granular substance containing the compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>are each independently H, 1-8C alkyl or 5-8C cycloalkyl; R<SP>3</SP>is H or 1-8C alkyl; and X is a single bond, S, O, 1-8C alkylidene or 5-8C cycloalkylidene] includes (i) a process of melting the compound expressed by formula (1), and (ii) a process of dropping the molten substance obtained by process (i) into water and recovering the granular substance.
