The package (1) has a base (2) for supporting a food product. A removable lid (4) closes the base. A seal bead (5) is made of repositionable adhesive material, and arranged between the base and the lid for simultaneously ensuring sealing of the package and allowing repositioning of the lid on the base. A part of a circumference of the base or the lid has an edge (6) on which the seal bead is deposited. The base is made of thermoformed or injected rigid plastic material. The lid has a hull made of rigid material i.e. transparent rigid plastic.
