<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer protective film which has a shape easily adhering to a polarizer composed of polyvinyl alcohol and formed of a new cellulose ester, and to provide a polarizing plate with this kind of polarizer protective film, and a liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizer protective film includes a transparent substrate layer made of the cellulose ester, and has a fine protruding and recessing shape formed on the inside face of the substrate layer, wherein arithmetic surface roughness (Ra) of the inside face of the substrate layer is 1-10 μm. Preferably, ten point height of irregularities (Rz) of the inside face of the substrate layer is 2-60 μm. Preferably, a ratio (Rz/Ra) of the ten point height of irregularities (Rz) to the arithmetic average roughness (Ra) is 1-15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
