<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible device which is simple in manufacturing while preventing occurrence of minute cracks which reduce the protection capability when bending stress is caused. <P>SOLUTION: A packaging device of the micro-battery 2 installed on a flexible support body 1 includes at least one thin film to form a protective layer 3 entirely on the micro-battery 2, and a flexible compensation cover 5 on the protective layer 3. The cover 5 is formed of a material, for example such as a polymer, having a thickness t<SB>comp</SB>and Young's modulus E<SB>comp</SB>such that a neutral plane of an assembly is positioned on the surface of the micro-battery 2. The thickness of the cover 5 is calculated by the equation: t<SB>comp</SB>=t<SB>sub</SB>/√ηwith a precision of ±30%, and in this equation, t<SB>sub</SB>is the thickness of the support body 1 and 'η' is the ratio of Young's modulus between the cover 5 and the support body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
