<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly obtain a motion vector. <P>SOLUTION: A threshold setting unit 13 sets a threshold from an error between an image of block of interest and an image having a deviated position from the block of interest. A first vector detection unit 14 detects motion vectors having an error between the images of the block of interest and a reference block lower than, inclusive of, the threshold. When a detected motion vector equals an already detected motion vector of which end point is the start point of the detected motion vector, the first vector detection unit 14 determines the detected motion vector to be the motion vector to be obtained. A representative vector setting unit 15 sets a representative vector from the already detected motion vectors. A second vector detection unit 16 detects a motion vector having an error amount between the images of the block of interest and the reference block lower than, inclusive of, the threshold. When the detected motion vector equals the representative vector, and if no motion vector is obtained by the first vector detection unit 14, the second vector detection unit 16 determines the motion vector which is equal to the representative vector to be the motion vector to be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
