LACTIC ACID BACTERIUM HAVING LIPASE INHIBITORY ACTIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lactic acid bacterium having pancreatic lipase inhibiting action of lactic acid bacterium and a food using the same.

SOLUTION: Lactic acid bacteria screened from various separation sources are examined and a part of the lactic acid bacteria is found to have strong pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity. Namely, a lactic acid bacterium having lipase inhibitory activity is used. Lactobacillus gasseri is used as the lactic acid bacterium. Preferably a lactic acid bacterium having IC50 (concentration of lactic acid bacterium necessary for 50% inhibitory activity of enzyme) of ≤1,200 μg/mL in pancreatic lipase inhibitory activity is used. The foods containing these lactic acid bacteria are adopted.
