<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex transmission and reception unit capable of performing duplex transmission and reception without losing signals even without extending an external antenna. <P>SOLUTION: The duplex transmission and reception unit 1 includes: a first single pole double throw switch circuit 6 to which a first transmission and reception circuit 2 is connected; a second single pole double throw switch circuit 7 to which a second transmission and reception circuit 3 is connected; an antenna connection terminal 4 connected to each of first selection terminals 6b, 7b; and an internal antenna connected to each of second connection terminals 6c, 7c. When the first selection terminal 6b and a single pole terminal 6a of the first single pole double throw switch circuit 6 are connected with each other, the second selection terminal 7c and a single pole terminal 7a of the second single pole double throw switch circuit 7 are connected with each other.
