<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network relay device which achieves priority control without executing addition or change of a function to an existing apparatus even when a communication link to reduce a bandwidth depending on an environment of a wireless LAN, PLC or the like is newly additionally connected to a network in which priority control is performed based on priority information retained by a packet to be relayed. <P>SOLUTION: The network relay device performs priority control based on priority information retained by a packet A to be relayed when relaying the packet; stores the type of a protocol of the packet A, pieces of address information of a transmission source and a transmission destination, and the retained priority information as priority control information by being related to one another; and determines whether a packet B should be subjected to priority control based on the type of a protocol of the packet B, the pieces of address information of the transmission source and the transmission destination thereof, and the stored priority control information when the packet B to be relayed does not retain priority information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
