PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of recording more information as photographing information of segmented pictures in segmenting still pictures from a picked-up motion picture. SOLUTION: This camera 10 includes: a motion picture information recording means 32A capable of recording at least either a photographing start time or a photographing finish time in capturing a motion picture; a picture selecting means 33 for selecting a specific still picture from a series of still pictures forming the captured motion picture; a still picture recording means 31 capable of recording the specific still pictures; an operating means 34 for operating the photographing time of the specific still pictures from either the photographing start time or the photographing finish time which is recorded by the motion picture information recording means 32A; and a still picture information recording means 31A capable of recording the photographing time operated in the operating means 34.
