<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalytic apparatus for cleaning exhaust gas oxidizing and burning particulates in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation catalytic apparatus 1 for cleaning exhaust gas includes an oxidation catalyst 3 composed of porous bodies having fine holes of hole diameters smaller than those of fine holes of a filter base material 2. The catalyst 3 is formed by applying the aqueous solution of a plurality of metallic compounds constituting a composite metallic oxide to the surface 4c of the porous filter base material 2 by any one kind of a spray dry method, a spray pyrolysis method and a freeze-drying method and by burning, and covers the surface 4c of the filter base material 2 where exhaust gas made to flow in from an exhaust gas flow-in part 4a is introduced. The oxidation catalyst 3 is composed of any one kind of composite metal oxides expressed by chemical formulas, YMnO<SB>3</SB>, Y<SB>1-x</SB>Ag<SB>x</SB>MnO<SB>3</SB>(0.01≤x≤0.30), Y<SB>1-x</SB>Ag<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>1-y</SB>A<SB>y</SB>O<SB>3</SB>(0.01≤x≤0.30 and 0.005≤y≤0.30, A is any one kind metal of Ti, Nb, Ta, Ru, Ce, Fe). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
