PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a loudspeaker capable of faithful reproduction of sound by making an edge member follow the vibrations of a diaphragm with high sensitivity, without having to increase the weight of the diaphragm or causing thermal deformation, and to provide a method of manufacturing the member. SOLUTION: The member for the loudspeaker includes the diaphragm 1 made of soft foamed resin; an outer frame 2 for supporting the diaphragm; and a diaphragm edge 3 for connecting the outer frame 2 and the diaphragm, the density of the peripheral edge part of the diaphragm material is increased, and the peripheral edge part is bonded at the diaphragm edge 3.
