PURPOSE: A ratchet and a valve body driving device using the ratchet are provided to keep lubricant within a space formed by closing a receiving chamber with a cover member, thereby maintaining the lubricant effect. CONSTITUTION: A wall(121) is formed in a second rotator(41) formed to be coaxial with a first rotator(42) and surrounds a rotating member(110) which rotates together with the first rotator. The rotating member is accommodated in a cylindrical receiving chamber(120). A ratchet mechanism(100) comprises a claw(113) which is extended in the diameter direction from the rotating member and a tooth(122) which is formed on the interior of the wall to be elastically engaged with the claw. Lubricant is spread onto the claw or/and the tooth. The first and second rotators rotate around a supporting shaft relative to each other while engaging and disengaging the claw with the tooth. The opening of the receiving chamber is closed with a cover member(150).
