A method and an apparatus for data transmission based on coordinated multiple point (CoMP) transmission are provided in the present invention. The method includes: a transmission point presetting at least two kinds of CoMP transmission policies; the transmission point determining the channel quality value of each cell on the basis of the received signals of multiple cells participating in coordinated transmission; selecting the corresponding CoMP transmission policy on the basis of the channel quality values of the cells; and transmitting data streams to the receiving end on the basis of the selected CoMP policy. By using the CoMP transmission policy in the present invention, when channel quality is poor, each cell participating in coordinated transmission transmits a same data stream, ensuring data transmission quality; and when channel quality is good, each cell participating in coordinated transmission transmits different data streams, enhancing data throughput and improving data transmission performance. |
