[Class 12 (i).] The endplate 3 of an electric motor, centrifugal pump, or the like has a cylindrical collar 4 housing either a ball or roller bearing 5, Fig. 1, or a cylindrical journal bearing 10, Fig. 3. An oil-leakage-preventing plate 7 and an endcover 9 are secured to the housing 3 by bolts 8. As shown in Fig. 3, the plate 7 carries the bearing 10 and supports 16 for the brush holders 14 of the electric machine. The bolt holes in the plate 3 are oval in shape to permit of adjustment of the supports 16.
