<p>A method of purifying water containing a metallic ingredient is provided which can reduce the burden to be imposed on a treatment of the concentrated water yielded by reverse osmosis membrane separation. The method of purifying water containing a metallic ingredient includes a reverse osmosis membrane separation step in which the metallic-ingredient-containing water, which contains a metallic ingredient dissolved therein, is separated into purified water, which is the filtrate, and concentrated water by reverse osmosis membrane separation. The method is characterized by further including: an electrolysis step in which the concentrated water is electrolyzed to obtain alkaline water on the cathode side; and a precipitate removal step in which the metallic ingredient which has precipitated due to the alkalinity from the alkaline water obtained in the electrolysis step is removed.</p> |
