Provided are a method and system for data notification and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server thereof by the present invention, wherein the method includes: when directory data in the LDAP server is updated, the LDAP server notifies a third application entity of the updated directory data. The present invention can notify the third application in time when the LDAP data is changed, improve the service ability of the LDAP sever and enhance system performance.
