<p>Disclosed is a pairing method which reduces the burden on the user in pairing a RF remote control which is paired to a first device to a second device which is connected to the first device by an HDMI-CEC connection. Specifically disclosed is a pairing method, wherein in a system which includes a television set (1) which is a first device comprising a display unit, a movie player (3) which is a second device connected to the first device by an HDMI-CEC connection, and a radio frequency remote control(5) which is paired in advance to the first device, the pairing method is provided with: a first step of transmitting, from the first device to the second device, the identification information of the radio frequency remote control (5) which is registered to the first device; a second step of generating, at the second device, pairing information which includes the identification information of the second device; a third step of transmitting the pairing information from the second device to the first device; and a fourth step of transmitting the pairing information received by the first device from the first device to the radio frequency remote control (5).</p> |
