The processing unit fulfills a propriety judgment function of judging whether the first input biological image is proper or not in order to use the biological information represented by the first input biological image for collation with the registered biological information, a selection function of selecting registered biological information similar to the biological information represented by the first input biological image from the registered biological information when the first input biological image is judged to be improper, and a collation processing function of collating biological information represented by a second input biological image generated by the biological information acquisition unit reacquiring the biological information about the user with the selected registered biological information.
