<p>Disclosed is power conversion equipment comprising: a 3-level inverter (1) having bridge circuits (SuH, SuL), (SvH, SvL), (SwH, SwL) which connect a first and a second semiconductor switching element in series and are connected between the positive and negative terminals of a DC power source (4) and switching circuits (SuMH,SuML), (SvMH,SvML), (SwMH,SwML) having bidirectional characteristics and being connected between the intermediate potential points (VM) of the DC power source (4) and the AC output terminals (Vu0, Vv0, Vw0) of the bridge circuits, which are the points of connection of the first and second semiconductor switching elements; and single-phase inverters (2a), (2b), (2c) which have a plurality of semiconductor switching elements and are series-connected with the AC output terminals (Vu0, Vv0, Vw0) of the bridge circuits. The sum of the output voltage of the three-level inverter (1) and the output voltages of the single-phase inverters (2a), (2b), (2c) is supplied to the load.</p> |
