The irrigation apparatus comprises: a reservoir (13) for water and a conduit (14) connected to the reservoir along which water can flow from the reservoir; wherein: the conduit comprises a flexible core (15) and a water permeable jacket (18) wrapped around the flexible core, the flexible core providing within the jacket one or more channel (s) (16) along which water can flow through the, conduit and the water permeable jacket allowing water to permeate from the channel (s) to an exterior surface of the jacket.
