METHOD FOR TRAINING SPECIALISTS IN THE FIELD OF ULTRASOUND AND/OR X-RAY DIAGNOSTICS

A method is proposed for training specialists in the field of ultrasound and/or X-ray diagnostics using computers and a library of pre-prepared video clips of specific clinical cases, in which certain video clips are shown consecutively to the trainee, who must in each case make a visualization of the physiological state of the "virtual" patient and take the necessary measurements by pausing the video clip and placing calipers. According to the invention, the method provides for a gradual increase in the degree of difficulty of the tasks presented to the trainee, for which purpose before a video clip of the area of interest with a particular pathology is shown, static images of the same area are shown first without pathologies and then with the pathology present in the clip, thereby making it possible to gradually reduce the permissible error with respect to the positioning of the calipers. A computerized assessment of the correctness of each procedure is also provided for, with an overall mark being given for each unit of procedures and the correct procedure being shown in the event of errors.
