The present invention provides a method for performing remote network management for a voice home gateway terminal. A remote network management server transmits a voice signalling to the voice home gateway terminal; the voice home gateway terminal judges whether there is a non-voice triggering identifier contained in the voice signalling, and if there is not, it processes a voice service according to the voice signalling; if there is, it requests non-voice configuration information from the remote network management server, and processes a non-voice service according to the received non-voice configuration information. The present invention also provides a system for performing remote network management for a voice home gateway terminal at the same time. Application of the method and system of the present invention enables the remote network management server to manage not only the voice service but also other services except the voice service simultaneously, allows the reliable remote management for the voice home gateway terminal with the voice function, and realizes the convergence for managing the integration service of the voice home gateway terminal. |
