A method and a device for updating a data card are disclosed, and the method comprises: the operation system of the user terminal and the device driving program on the side of the operation system of the data card of the user terminal are updated through downloading from the online updating website; the assistant installation program suitable for running in the updated operation system is downloaded from the online updating website; and the device driving program on the side of the board of the data card is updated through running the assistant installation program in the updated operation system. The method enables the driving program on the side of the board of the data card to interact with the driving program in the operating system, so that the data card can be used normally. |
